Ahh... Midsemester break

Yes, that is right, it is time for a break from school. How long do we have off you may ask?

One day. Oh yeah. Big spenders here at vet school, a WHOLE day off. At least it is a Monday though, because I hate Mondays most out of the seven days of the week. And not just because its the first day of the school or most people's work week, but instead, because I'm not a huge fan of the way "Monday" sounds. Also, from Office Space, because it is just outright PAINFUL to hear someone say "aww... does somebody have a case of the Mondays???" Yeah, that's just not right.

On to the fun stuff though.

This weekend there will be studying (unfortunately), sleeping, drinking (safely, of course), eating junk food, and lounging on the beach. And some museum in Nevis about Horatio Nelson. Ask Matt, I don't know anything about the dude except what I remember him telling me. Matt say's he's a bad ass because he defeated a ton of Spaniards with only a few boats. Something like that. We're actually staying the night on Nevis at the Nisbet Plantation Inn, which I am VERY excited about. They give an absolutely amazing rate to students/locals, so we get to stay at this amazing 4 star hotel for practically nothing. I'm quite excited for this mini-vacation.

I sort of hate in-text links, but they're useful sometimes. Please forgive me, if you too, despise them.

Forbs... sigh. I am still bitter. Stupid goats. Our class wants to make a t-shirt in honor of that test question. I am not participating in this celebration of ridiculous exam questions. BAH!

I have no pictures to share... but I should have some from the trip to Nevis this weekend, so look for those to come in a few days... or next week.

Alright, off to volleyball, go Pudendals!

Is it April yet?

This term has been horribly boring. Must keep going.... (please read that in an awfully pained voice inside your head, it'll make it much more dramatic)

Luckily, there have been some activities to distract me from the boring-ness (not a word, I know, but deal) that is immunology and parasitology (my two least favorite classes). Which by the way, I did not see that coming Parasitology. Thank you for blindsiding me with how painful you have become. Thanks, really, I appreciate that, a lot.

Anyway....

I went on another night catamaran trip this Friday! It was a gorgeous evening, although I was FREEEEEZING on the way home. Note to self: bring a jacket for the ride back next time. Wind + wet clothes + no sun = brrrrrrrr (yes, even in the Caribbean)

This is a picture my friend took of Matt and I just after boarding. It was his 1st cat trip, which he seemed to enjoy quite a bit.

It was a GORGEOUS evening.
I also played volleyball that evening before the cat trip. We won. Of course... mwahahahaha. We played my friend Megan's team, and came close to losing the 1st game, but then got it together in time to completely obliterate them. Sorry, Megan.

Hum. I guess that is about it. My life really isn't so exciting. Except for the beaches, and the catamaran trips, and living on an island. Besides all that, it really isn't all that thrilling.

Midterms Round 2 start this week. Must do better....

Oh, I baked this morning. Blueberry muffins from a box. Delicious none the less. Please enjoy... via a picture. Baking in an un-airconditioned house is not recommended by the way. It was hot in our house before I started baking, and now it is just plain uncomfortable. Sigh.

Nom nom nom
My Dad sent me another adorable picture of Tanzi cuddling with my Mom, so I figured I would post one of her too, because, well, I can. :)

On to physio... and parasit... and anatomy... and maybe, if I'm feeling quite productive a little immuno.

Montserrat

This is a website for the nearby volcanic island that keeps spewing ash on us, in case you wanted to see how awesome ash can be.

Montserrat Volcano Observatory

No wonder we have to clean our table nearly daily, and floors almost as often.

And....

Tanzi's Valentine :)

Yup, that's my bed at home that she is keeping warm for me :)

Oh, Immunology

How I loathe thee.

My exam is on Wednesday, I think I'll write about my last week instead.

Karin (Matt's Mom for those who don't know) came to visit us this past week! Unfortunately I did not get to spend a lot of time with her, but she got to do lots of really cool schtuff during the week anyway. I'll post some pictures from their adventures a little later.

There are a bunch of sheep and goats right across the road from our house now. They're super cute. Lots of week-old or younger lambs and kids running around being pretty darn cute.

Wow, I am very uncreative these days. That's all I've got for now. Pretty lame, I know.

My dad sent me the cutest valentine "from Tanzi". It's pretty adorable. Maybe I'll post it.
